For some mountain bikers, the sound of the bike in motion, with it’s hub whirring, suspension sounds, satisfying tire on dirt sounds and everything else it brings, is all the music they need.
For other riders, it’s nature they want to listen to, the wind in the trees, birds chirping, echos around the valley.
I’m a combination of the above – I lovvve the sound of my mountain bike tearing down the trail, and I also love being immersed in nature. Win win.
But for other mountain bikers, it’s their favorite Spotify playlist that they want to have cranking in their ear buds while they carve up the trail, winch their way up a long climb, ride a big descent, or hit a jump line on the bike.
Sure, you could be an obnoxious rider rocking a bluetooth speaker and forcing everyone around you on the trails to listen to your tunes – but most riders wanting to listen to music while on the trail will grab their ear buds, either wired running down to their phone – or more likely these days, bluetooth.
You probably don’t want to wear Air Pods, and potentially lose one or both expensive little bluetooth audio gadgets during a crash, or just from having it bounce out of your ear and off the trail into the undergrowth somewhere.
So that leaves sports bluetooth headphones that are joined together as a possible solution.
But it is not the only choice…
A full face MTB helmet with bluetooth audio
Behold, a full face mountain bike helmet with an optional integrated bluetooth helmet audio system called BE-LINK.
The Demon Podium full face helmet can integrate the the bluetooth audio BE-LINK system, which has 9 hours battery time.
Importantly, it also has 30mm drivers, which are around the size of on-ear headphone drivers if you’re needing something to compare them too. Much punchier and bass heavy than ear buds, but not quite big over-ear headphone level of audio…
You’ll still be able to hear most of what is going on around you (depending on what volume you run your music at obviously), but your helmet will be full of your fave music to get you amped for your riding.
You’ll notice that on Amazon on their official Demon products store page, they just have the helmet by itself, and don’t appear to offer the BE-LINK bluetooth headwear add-on, as they do on their official website.
But it does actually look like you can just get the bluetooth headwear add-on by itself also:

Can you buy the bluetooth add-on separately?
Yes you can, though it’s not clear if it will fit any type of full face mountain bike helmet. Thankfully it’s actually very affordable, so not too offputting to order and try out with your own existing fullface helmet if it’s something you’re wanting, without changing out your entire full face helmet setup.
Do you mountain bike listening to bluetooth audio?
I’d love to hear from you. What’s your riding music setup like?
